PAST DAGGER HAPPENINGS:
July 25-30, 2004: Dagger Did the DNC!!!
DAGGER took to the streets for the Democratic National Convention, armed with a multi-breasted goddess puppet and the belief that women’s voices are not being heard. A small group performed healing rituals at The Black Tea Society’s Really Really Democratic Bazaar on the Boston Common and in and around the Free Speech Zone.
On Saturday October 25, 2003 The Cambridge Peace and Justice commission
honored former director Amatul Hannan and DAGGER with a Peace and
Justice Award!
On Sat June 14th 2003 DAGGER performed in a PRIDE season collaboration
with TrueColors Out Youth Theater troupe of the Theater Offensive
at Boston Youth Pride 2003, and at the annual City of Cambridge
Pride Breakfast dressed up as thieving PIRATES "We're Romney's
Renegades, aka Mitt's Marauders - here to steal all yer Gold, AaarrrR!!"
On Sat March 22 DAGGER helped the City of Cambridge celebrate
International Women’s Day 2003, performing at the
YWCA Central Square in GREAT company with Minnie Bruce Pratt,
Yoomi Jeong, and Marta Rodriguez.
The Officers of Homo-Insecurity first
took to train platforms and the streets of Boston on August 10,
2002, bearing strange and invasive devices for Queer Detection and
Citizen Protection.
"Dagger to the T" aka "Rude Crude Leering
Dude" addressed assault in T stations and on trains.
Dagger performed a song and dance about
DykeLove at the MA State House, Monday July 15, 2002
Boston Pride 2002:
DAGGER marched with a new grass-roots group called Global
Girls. A photo of April toting our homemade paper-mache
Globe was THE ONLY image of Boston Pride 2002 in the Sunday
Boston Globe!
