ClimACTS! Guilty Pleasures

The Theater Offensive seeks non-union actors/singers for a new street-theater musical, 99% Stone by Letta Neely and Melissa Li, to be performed June 2 through June 23, 2012 at various locations throughout Boston and Cambridge.

This new musical 99% Stone takes to the streets with the liberating energy of a flash mob and the urgency of a pepper spray blast. The 1969 Stonewall Uprising was the original Queer Occupy Action. In 99% Stone, the story of how a few young Flame Queens and Stone Butch Dykes got fed up, fought back, and sparked an international movement that burst to life.

True Colors: OUT Youth Theater presents #Overtherainbow. Based on stories and issues confronted by our youth, this original production takes everyone on a fantastical and technological journey of our own Queer Youth fairy tales, fables, and mythological characters. Tales of perseverance, loss and regret, finding community, and social satire create a cyber and social media utopia where expressing ideas and being yourself are the only way to communicate. We hammer at tough subjects that face our community and celebrate the opportunity to laughs at ourselves. Come and see if you find yourself in our FIERCE version of Fantasy Land.

The Theater Offensive & Hibernian Hall are proud to present The Secret History Of Love – a powerful new show choreographed and performed by award-winning transgender choreographer Sean Dorsey Dance. Secret love affairs, the history of outlawing love and the underground ways that transgender and queer people found each other through the decades are revealed in these new dances. Interviews conducted with LGBT Seniors in Boston have been incorporated into this amazing dance theater production.
