"The Officers of HomoINSecurity"
This piece debuted as 8 full formal performances by 8 DAGGER's (Amatul, Mal, Sady, Holly, Digna, Maggie, Sherisa, Simone, with Mal’s friend George on Video Camera and B&W 35 mil camera.) We also created many spontaneous site-specific performances, doing several “DragNet” / Secret Service short versions as we walked from point to point.
DAGGER went out to eat as a group afterwards and shared tales, watched the video on the camera's side screen. B&W photos are coming from George and the video he shot of us looked very good.
We distributed 64 Spanish language flyers and 197 English flyers out of 400 total flyers, and we estimated about 400-plus audience of all races, ages, and classes.

ACTION RESULT REPORT:
We were very happy about the many Latino, Black, and White working-class families that we encountered. Our Downtown crossing, Park Street, Newbury Street sidewalk and Copley Square performances were very well received by older Black men, white elders, tourist families of all backgrounds, and Latino teens.
ACTION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Our first Maverick T Station performance, with dancing- along Latino teens yelling "Go girls, yeah, work it! Dance!"
- Performing in Downtown Crossing right after Cops took away a homeless man in a wagon! We waited till they had packed up to go, and commenced performing right in the center of the crossing, with our boom-box blaring the Dragnet/ X-Files/ Mission Impossible and Get Smart themes as we filled the center of the square with our movement
- Downtown crossing and Park Street Homeless People dancing along with us, a little kid on Newbury Street asking his dad “you don’t REALLY think they’re a foreign mob, do you?”
- People laughing and warning each other as we perfomed: "Watch out for the SUITS - they're creepin! They're creepin up on you, Man!"
- Red-headed Hippy kid at Food Not Bombs asking us legal questions about police planting drugs on kids and how can he refuse body searches (We recomend contacting the ACLU and your local Police Review Board for these issues).
-Open dialogue with low income Latinos at Boston Common about cops and violence.
