Volunteer to Usher!
Ushers are a vital part of the theatre's Front of House operations. Volunteer ushers arrive one hour prior to each performance and check in with the House Manager and Head Usher. They are expected to hand out programs, help seat patrons before the show starts, and answer basic questions about the theater. In exchange, ushers can see the performance free of charge and get an inside look at the workings of a professional theatre company. A half-hour orientation provides basic information about the theatre and current production. Many people love pitching in, wheter they're looking to meet other people, or volunteering as a group. Contact the Calderwood Pavilion's House Manager at 617.933.8673 for details and to sign up.
