Queer Youth Theater Summit

QUEER YOUTH THEATER SUMMIT

September 23-25

The Theater Offensive is making history with the launch of the Queer Theatre Youth Summit, the first-ever retreat for multi-regional LGBTQ youth theatre groups. Our True Colors troupe will be joined in Boston by troupes from Philadelphia and Omaha to connect with other queer youth theater performers, collaborate on new material, and expand their views of queer youth issues. The youth will be using workshops to share techniques for creating theatre and promoting activism, ultimately working towards their shared overarching goals: to use theater as a means of self-expression, to explore identity, to educate and advocate for LGBTQ issues, and to become engaged civically.
